Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child is ready for French tutoring?
If your child is in a French Immersion program or has started learning French and you feel they could use extra support, tutoring can help them thrive. I work with students of all levels, from beginners to those looking to refine their skills.
What ages do you work with?
I typically see the most progress with primary-aged students. Grades 1 through 7 are ideal, as this is when foundational language skills are developing and can be strengthened in a meaningful way.
Can you help my child with Math? Social Studies? Science?
Yes. The beauty of French Immersion is that you can learn French while covering a variety of subjects. In addition to French literacy, I’m more than happy to support your child with math, science, social studies, and any other subjects that you’d like to incorporate into their learning.
Do you offer group sessions?
I currently focus on one-on-one tutoring to ensure each student gets personalized attention.
Do sessions have to be scheduled weekly?
Not at all. I understand that schedules can be busy. Parents are welcome to book sessions as needed, whether it’s weekly, bi-weekly, or whenever they feel their child would benefit the most. It’s all about what works best for your child’s learning needs.
Do you offer tutoring during the summer?
Yes. Some students feel like they get out of practice over the summer, especially when they’re not regularly speaking French. Summer tutoring is a great way to stay in the flow and build confidence so the transition back to school feels smooth.
